Jessie Loves: A Gift Guide, Part Two
Gifts for significant others, work besties and for yourself
Here’s part two of my Gift Guide with gifts for significant others, work besties and some gifts to treat yourself. Plus my fav stocking stuffers. I’m so excited to have Erika Veurink, Ruby Redstone, Grace Atwood and Kate Snyder contributing to this list, too!
1. For Your Significant Other
My Picks:
Bri please don’t read this part (!)
This year I’m getting Bri a custom needlepoint belt with motifs of our two dogs, Peanut and Morty, and tennis balls. This is such a special, thoughtful gift. It takes a long time to make, so sadly, even though I ordered it a while ago, it is going to ship after Christmas. It will be worth it! Similar to this belt I had made years ago of Bri’s beloved Jeep Wagoneer.
Bri will love these cool, wacky checkered tennis grips.
I love the color combos of these keychains, especially the pale yellow and brown combo.
Bri is a big fan of Paul Smith because he’s so earnest about his love of fashion and is such a cool guy (check out his insta). I like these brightly-colored speakers he makes using recycled plastic.
Bri loves this swag from his second favorite Substack 😏
I find finding lovely picture frames to be very tricky. Luckily, Nickey Kehoe has introduced these beautiful pewter frames. So lovely with a special photo tucked inside.
This is my go to guy gift: Il Bisonte makes the nicest men’s wallets. I’m partial to the deep dark brown pebble.
I love the quality and the cut of Sunspel’s swimsuits. Last year I got Bri and my oldest son trunks in navy gingham which are so lovely. This year they have solid navy and a blue seersucker that I like.
These espresso cups are very chic.
Ruby Redstone’s Pick:
Caswell-Massey has been owned by the same family for ten generations and has made their soaps in the U.S.A. since 1752 (before the American Revolution!). Obviously the historical elements of this endeavor appeal to me, but the soaps also smell lovely and come in such pretty boxes that they don't really need to be wrapped — the perfect little luxury to tuck into someone's stocking. All the scents are nice, however 'Elixir of Love' feels like an irresistible sentiment for a significant other.
2. For Your Office Bestie
My Picks:
This leopard or flower embroidered pouch is a gift every bestie would love. You can even get it chain stitched with their name at the Holiday Bazaar we’re holding at our stores this December.
I got this for my friend at work — a crochet bookmark of her Dachshund tucked into a pretty notebook, found on Etsy. She loves it!
Your work bestie will love a brightly colored Italian stapler for her or his desk.
I love this beautiful print by Lewis.
A six month subscription to World of Interiors — the most elegant magazine that your friend will save and refer back to again and again.
Matching charms is a sweet bestie gift. Or their initial, or the initial of their pet.
What about a pretty mug for all those office coffee and tea breaks?
A creative project is always a gift I love to give and receive.
Erika Veurink’s Pick:
I love this sugar globe from The Odeon. The fact that it comes with cookies... makes it even better. It's just the thing for someone who loves late nights in Tribeca or who misses the city. It's a subtle nod to the chrome trend but couldn't be more classic.
Kate Snyder’s Picks:
I adore these paper peonies. The perfect thing to brighten up her desk, and every time she looks at them she’ll think of me (beautiful, will never die, etc.)
I haven’t been the same since I found out about the handmade paper notebooks from Choosing Keeping. Each one is completely unique and wrapped in patterns that make me cry. I’ll have the best time finding the one that matches her exactly.
3. For Yourself
My Picks:
I’m kind of obsessed by vintage Martha Stewart style after watching her documentary. I would love a vintage Martha cookbook mainly for the fashion inspo.
My Danish friends turned me on to Tekla’s super chic towels. I recently treated myself to a whole range of replacements in brown stripe (I also love the blue stripe at the beach). Best thing is they have a little tag that makes it easy to hang them on a hook.
I’m obsessed with our new collab Nikki Chasin tee, now with long sleeves and in our leopard print. The coolest and cutest gift!
I highly recommend this giant holiday bow for over the fireplace or on your front door. I already own this and it brings me so much joy around the holidays.
I had to physically restrain myself from buying this Miffy pot when I saw it.
I’d love these pillows from Faeger, one of my favorite design shops in the UK.
I’ll take this gorgeous urn vase. Yes please!
I’d really really love a stair basket or this elongated basket.
Grace Atwood’s Pick:
“Design: The Leading Hotels Of The World” has to be one of the most beautiful design books I've ever seen. First of all, it's chartreuse green, one of my favorite colors. The cover is coated in a silky fabric and the edges of the paper are a metallic chartreuse. So it will look beautiful on any coffee table. The inside is just as good! It highlights the best hotels in the world. Time to sit, peruse, and update my hotel bucket list!
4. Stocking Stuffers
My Picks:
Fun tennis socks from Kule
Mini floral frogs from Willow Crossley.
The most beautiful cookies in a tin from Bri’s friends’ company.
A VERDEN candle in my favorite scent
A sweater depiller. The gift that keeps on giving
Ito notepads. So chic
Our custom gift wrap, designed by Tess Newall, which comes in every order from LR!
An elegant lemon squeezer from Gohar.
An iPhone charger (can never have enough of these!) or this battery pack that is super fast for charging on the go. We use these on all our trips.
Mason Pearson brush. Such a perfect tool to have in your make up pouch.
Goat-milk soaps wrapped in beautiful paper from Saipua. I love to tuck them in my drawer to make my clothes smell amazing.
And one thing I hate:
I hate that this is the last Christmas I’ll have with my twins still living at home. It’s too sad I don’t even want to think about it.
A delight! Thank you Jessie!
Paper peonies… GENIUS
