Jessie Loves: 9 Pieces In My Sporty-Chic Lineup
Plus, early access to LR's first ever sport collection
Just in time for the US Open, I’m SO excited to announce the launch of our first ever sport capsule (!!!) available today for early access for my Substack readers. I cannot wait to show everyone our new Topspin sneaker, fun colored rugby shirts and ric rac track pants!
I’m loving adding a sporty spin to my outfits lately. From the amazing, generic ringer tees I discovered to my favorite tube socks, these are the 9 items that are making my sporty chic dreams come true at the moment!
1. Ringer Tees
I am fully obsessed with a good ringer tee! I found these for only $15. I’ve been wearing them all the time. The best!

2. LR Topspin Sneakers
I’ve wanted to make the perfect sporty sneaker at LR for as long as I can remember. I’m thrilled to introduce the Topspin, our take on a retro sporty tennis shoe.
Here is the ethos of the shoe as printed on the label under the tongue and on the box:
We worked SO hard on this shoe. I cannot tell you the amount of development rounds we did to get this exactly the way I wanted it to be. This was truly a labor of love.
A few of my favorite cool features:
1. The laces say “love all” on the tips, a happy little message that makes me smile every time I lace them up.
2. We put an L on the left sneaker and an R on the right sneaker, a clever play on Loeffler Randall. Kismet!
3. The shoe has a tiny interior wedge that provides a nice bit of lift and makes it hit the ankle at the most flattering spot.
4. I’m obsessed with the sporty box these beauties come in.
A cool, sporty shoe that looks fashionable for times when I need supreme comfort and walkability has long been on my wishlist. I’m so excited the Topspin is finally here! I’m going to be wearing them with skirts and track pants and everything in between. I hope you love them too!!
3. Tube Socks
My daughter, aka the most stylish person I know, has been wearing her socks pulled up high for years now. This photo was taken in Italy in 2022. She’s wearing socks from Front General Store. I love the sporty look.
Wilson and Le Bon Shoppe make my other favorites.
4. Track Pants
I’m so excited for this component of our sports capsule — the track pant. We made ours with an exaggerated ric rac stripe down the side. The epitome of sporty chic!! These are going to be my plane outfit go tos.
5. Mesh Shorts
I’m feeling mesh! Love the old school vibes of this material. Relax Lacrosse has the coolest stripe color combos. I’m going to wear these shorts with ballet flats or my Topspin sneaks!
6. Stripes
Nothing’s more sporty than stripes. I’m loving this Suzie Kondi striped skirt, these striped shorts and these cool striped beads I’ve been using to make bag charms and do art projects.
7. Duffle Bags
A duffle is so sporty. I just got this more refined one from Kule. Super cute!

8. Rugby Shirts
Rugby shirts are so popular right now, and we just released our own! I’m obsessed with the color combo, brown and bright green. I love wearing it with a skirt or even some baggy jeans. Perfect as the weather turns a little cooler.
9. Paracord
Paracord is having a moment. I just ordered a ton of it from Etsy to make some bag charms for friends. How cute is the sporty paracord on our new suede boat shoes???
Five Things I’m Loving This Week:
1. I just bought this hat, inspired by the ones my daughter is wearing (and even making herself.) Not sure I can pull this off but let’s see…

2. I love this wacky glass fish necklace I got at Lazy Point. It makes every outfit fun.
3. I’ve been going a bit bonkers making spiral keychains. I’ve learned it’s quite easy to make them once you get the hang of it. It’s just hard the first two rows then after that it’s a breeze. I think I might propose this as a laid-back craft for my craft club to ease back into meeting again now that summer is over. I even made a keychain for my son as I sent him off to college in his college colors.
4. The last summer haul of flowers from my garden.
5. Currently obsessed with The Yogurt Shop Murders, a true crime documentary series. Of all the cases I follow I hadn’t heard of this one. So sad on so many levels.
And One Thing I Hate:
I hate that my husband never takes the hint and gets us tickets to the US Open when he knows how much I love tennis. Luckily we made our own Honey Deuces at the office to celebrate the launch of LR Sport.
